Homemade Bacon Blue Cheese Tater Tots

Homemade Bacon Blue Cheese Tater Tots Recipe:  Who doesn’t have fond childhood memories revolving around tater tots?  Anyone who has ever bought a school lunch will know what I am talking about.  I mean, shredded potatoes that are deep fried… you would need to be devoid of taste buds to not enjoy a tater tot.  And I bet you didn’t know that homemade tater tots are just about the easiest thing on the planet to make!  But of course, at  Cooking Divine we cannot simply make anything without putting some sort of unique twist on it, so behold the bacon tater tots stuffed with blue cheese.

Homemade Tater Tots

I like to make these tater tots a little large, but you can shape them into any size you like.  While my recipe will tell you to stuff a certain amount of blue cheese into each tater tot, this is in relation to a larger size so feel free to do a little free styling when making these yourself.

Bacon Blue Cheese Tater Tots

Once you make your own tater tots, you will find it near impossible to have the frozen kind ever again.  Frozen tater tots are loaded with salt and other preservatives so after you eat them your stomach feels like it wants to explode.  After eating your homemade tater tots, you’ll see why it pays to take a little extra time to make these yourself.  Plus the bacon and blue cheese are a match made in heaven and take this recipe to a whole new level!
