Top 4 Football Gameday Appetizers – It’s that time of year again! The trees are starting to turn color, the air is crisper and yes… Football is in the air! These 4 gameday appetizers are a MUST at your next football party. Check out this compilation post where you can get recipes for 4 of my favorite football appetizers.
Recipe #1: Deep Fried Chicken Quesadillas
This appetizer ranks high on any list of recipes from CookingDivine! These deep fried chicken quesadillas are super simple to make and can be made with pretty much anything stuffed inside. And did I mention that they are deep fried? What could possibly go wrong with that!
I love making these to snack on during football season. That is the beauty of football, it is like a mini-holiday every week. You get to sit back, relax, watch the game and snack on some really bad for you food. But hey, you deserve it!
Recipe #2: Spicy Jalapeno Guacamole
What better to dip those deep fried quesadillas into then a spicy jalapeno guacamole made from scratch! I often talk about how sometimes the simplest recipes are the best recipes. Well, this football gameday guacamole appetizer is no exception to the rule. In fact, I believe that it wrote the rule. NEVER make the mistake of trying to “be cute” when it comes to making guacamole. Guacamole is a very fresh dish, it should incorporate only a few ingredients mixed together and served right away.

Recipe #3: 6 Minute Hot Wings
What is football season without hot wings? If you’re stumped for an answer I’ll give it to you… NOTHING! That’s right, if you plan on having people over for the game, don’t you dare not add wings to your table. You will have a room full of disappointed people. These football wings appetizers are made from start to finish in just 6 minutes (hence the name) so you no longer have an excuse not to make them.
Recipe #4: Single Chip Steak Nachos
Last but not least we have the football gameday nachos! The problem I always have with nachos is that all the good stuff sticks just to a few chips, usually the ones at the top. So it turns out to be prison rules to see who can get to the nachos first in order to get the best chips. With these single chip nachos, each nacho is loaded with all of the great flavors. Plus, the chips themselves are homemade so that not only do they crunch, but they have a bit of a chewy texture as well. You can’t miss with these appetizers during the game!
There you have it! So far these are my top 4 football Sunday appetizer recipes. Expect many more in the coming months and years!
As always… Live to Eat … and GO JETS!!
